Curved 3-Columns is modified based on Curved Wordpress Theme designed by Aditi Tuteja from TextNData. This theme have a very unusual look and it is currently being used on our blog. It is named “Curved†because of the nice rounded corner search box in header. This 3-Columns theme supports widgets and have a nice striped header along with tabbed navigation.
Curved (three columns) is very similar to what I am using right now.
Why 3-Columns?
There’s an increasing number of web logs having 2 sidebars (3 columns) for more content. You can have :
- Advertisements
- Widgets (MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, whos.amung.us, alexa, technorati, etc)
- Top Commentors
- Archives
- Frequent Tags
- Recent Comments
- Categories
- Twitter
- Popular Articles/Top Reads

And that’s why I’m using a 3-columns design.

Content (Blog entries) - 430 pixels
First (Left) sidebar - 260 pixels
Second (Right) sidebar - 190 pixels
Usage/Installation
Templates included: Archive
Install this theme like how you install any other theme; Upload the whole folder to wp-content/themes and activate it.
Feel free to customize it as much as you like.

(The first character of this post was written at 8am, 12th October 2007. I don’t know how long I will take to write something simple.)
I’ll start this entry with a quote:

Shermian
This week’s attendance was better than last week’s - Adolf, Jonathan, Qiuhui, Shawn, Shermian, Siyu, SQ & Stephanie. (We all have a blog, except Shawn) We had dinner at Marina Square’s Cafe Cartel. We visit Cafe Cartel coz’ there’s no service charge! We’re still poor students.
It took us quite awhile to finish that meal.. Approximate 2 hours to finish it. Adolf was last to reach and thus last to finish. Something I don’t understand is why Stephanie had to rant /nag about everything. Shawn and I was laughing throughout the dinner coz everything Stephanie said sounds funny. “Mimbo”, “Stop laughing like a hyena!”, etc!
When some of them were getting ice cream, I tagged along qiuhui into Sasa. The next moment, she saw Ralph Lauren’s ROMANCE and she said she loves it. BUT she’s already got it. (Duh, what’s the point of telling me when you’re not hinting that you want it?) Still so cute and naive qiu!
After Siyu got her ice cream, we walked to esplanade to enjoy the breeze. Up and down esplanade and we left for home. The guys headed for the bus stop & the ladies took MRT home. We’re all (except Qiuhui having FYP) working the very next day thats why we’ve got to return early!
I really hope we can eat and laugh like this every week. Let’s continue to find time for each other.

I decided to keep this entry’s title unrelated to Friendster. 4 years ago, I joined Friendster.
Comparing Friendster 4 years ago and now, I find that Friendster hasn’t changed much. Fans, Groups and Schools features were just implemented a few months ago. There’s less spam as compared to previously. BUT, the site hasn’t improved much. There’s nothing that can attract me to surf the site except to view when my friends are celebrating their birthdays. So I usually visit the main page and the page reflecting upcoming birthdays.
Facebook
Facebook is different. When I first saw facebook.com some time back, I thought the site would be something boring. There was only some text on the mainpage and nothing else. No photos at all! That was the reason I didn’t join.
Looking at facebook today, it’s really grown. I start to think of the future with facebook.
Facebook will start to dominate all social networking sites like Friendster. Soon, matchmaking sites will be on facebook.
In time to come, after most people on the Internet has joined facebook, investigators (FBI?)Â may just pop onto facebook to find leads on all cases.
What else? Will facebook or Google know more about you?
