This post is targetted at those who add tons of people on Friendster, but don’t know most of them.

Let’s define know.

Dictionary defines know as:

  • Be acquainted with (a thing, place, person, etc.), as by sight, experience, or report: to know the mayor.
  • Archaic. to have sexual intercourse with.  –verb (used without object)  (LOL! Ofcourse not this!)

 Let’s use the first definition.

About Friendster
With more than 37 million members, Friendster is the 1best way to stay in touch with your friends 2and it’s the 3fastest way to discover the people and things that matter to you most.

Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, 4Friendster aims to make the world a smaller place by bringing the power of social networking to every aspect of life, one friend at a time.

1. “best way to stay in touch with your friends” - keyword here is stay in touch and friends.

Friend (Plural: friends) is defined as:

  • a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
  • a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter.
  • a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile.

Now, who’s your friend?

Let’s skip #2 and go over to 3 first.

3. “fastest way to discover the people and things that matter to you most” - keyword here is matter to you most.

Are you adding me because I matter to you most? I added you coz you matter the most to me. (:

2. “and” - If first condition is true but second isn’t then the service you’re using isn’t Friendster. Is it possible that the person matter to you the most, but isn’t your friend?

So are you using Friendster the right way? I don’t think so.

4. “Friendster aims to make the world a smaller place by bringing the power of social networking to every aspect of life, one friend at a time.” - That’s their aim.

Think again, have you got what Friendster aimed for?

It’s time to review what we use Friendster for. Are we using it to add tons of friends people for no reason?
