Namewee (Negarakuku rapper) apologizes

PETALING JAYA: Student Wee Meng Chee, 24, who caused a furore here with his Negaraku (Negarakuku) rap video clip on YouTube, has apologised for the parody and will remove the video clip from his blog.“It has taught me a lesson about the spirit of nationalism and race relations. As a Malaysian, I did not intend to shame the country or ridicule any religion.Â
That’s what I read on the papers today.
Case end. The rap is now history. I still like Negaraku, ku. It somehow taught me how to sing the national anthem of Malaysia! Cheers!
