I’m having my period. What can I eat and not eat?

Let’s say I’m having my period. Ignore me. Let’s say you’re having your period. What can you eat, and what can you not eat? I’ll share with you my research.

What can you not eat and drink?

  1. Salty food. Salty food make you retain water and give you a puffy and bloated feeling.
  2. Dairy Food. This doesn’t apply for all women, but its better to take caution as dairy food might make women feel terrible.
  3. Cold water. Refer to what should you eat #2.

What should you eat and drink?

  1. Chocolates. According to some websites, it’s good to eat chocolates contains complex carbohydrates that helps your body expose off excess progesterone, which is the main culprit of PMS.
  2. Warm water. By drinking warm water, you make your body feel warm and thus pain will be reduced during period. Even days before you know your period is coming, you should be drinking warm water to prevent and lower the pain.

Dietary ways to reduce period pain

  1. Eating six small meals throughout the day, instead of three large ones - this can help to keep your blood sugar up and your mood elevated.
  2. Ensure you’re getting enough calcium. The symptoms of calcium deficiency include depression, irritability and anxiety - much like the symptoms of PMS. Adequate calcium intakes vary with age:
    Girls ages 9 - 18 should be getting 1300 mg/day
    Women 19 - 50 years should be getting 1000 mg/day
Women over 50 years old should be getting 1200 mg/day (Women above 50 rarely read my blog)
  3. No alcohol please. During this period, depressing effects from alcohol can make your period symptoms more serious.

Help! My period is killing me! I’m having stomach Cramps! What can I do?

  1. Take a warm glass of water.
  2. Take a rest inside a warm blanket.
  3. Put both your warm palms on your stomach.
  4. You should feel well in awhile.

If you think anything above is wrong, please comment.

If not for an event, I wouldn’t go over to John (Tops Salon) and get my hair highlighted blue. That would never happen, at least it never happened before. I’ve got alil to share about my hair.

The Process

My hair has always been very dark (black!) and thus it took 3 hours to bleach my hair. After bleaching, my hair was coloured twice. According to the stylists (or in-charge), the first colour wasn’t satisfactory. So they did another round. Don’t ask me what’s the difference between the first and second colour; I’m colour-blind.

Why blue?

Why not blue? Blue (and pink) is my favourite colour. And I had no say to what colour I can have on my hair. It’s all decided by Hoyu.

Why highlight?

For Color Kaleidoscope 2008 hair show organised by Hoyu.

For Hoyu, the hair show event was to promote their Promaster Hair Color. Don’t think you can get their Promaster professional range of products at any departmental stores. You should be able to get them from salons that use Hoyu’s products.

For me, it was to see more, learn more and to get to know more people. Fun, I can put it this way. We had lots of chances to interact with hair stylists and our fellow models.

My two pennies worth

Do visit salons that can dye your hair with Hoyu’s Promaster hair dyes. The hair dye is just good. Not only is the colour vibrant, the hair treatment treats and protects your hair from being damaged by the chemicals.

P.S I am not paid to write this review.

There are many forms of lottery buying in Singapore and Malaysia. In this guide, we’ll be covering topics on 4D (4 digits).

What is 4D?

“4D Game is a simple game of chance. It is simple and easy to play.”

Quote: Magnum 4D

How to strike 4D?

Let’s use an example Draw No. 2724 (Singapore Pools).

For example, I bought:

4636 BIG $1 SMALL $1

6535 BIG $1 SMALL $1

9999 BIG $1 SMALL $1

In this draw, 2 of my numbers won prizes.

4636 won me the starter prize. For starter prizes, every BIG $1, you’ll be paid $250. As for SMALL, you get no winnings. That goes the same for Consolation; SMALL only applies to First, Second and Third prize. (Total winnings: $250)

6535 won me the First prize. For that, I will be paid $2000 for $1 BIG bet and $3000 for $1 SMALL bet. (Total winnings: $2000 + 3000 = $5000) Big money.

Is it easy to strike 4D?

Let me guide you through.

Simple maths. Let’s assume that each number will only open once in a draw.

Chances of winning: 23/10000 * 100% = 0.23%

If you don’t buy: 0%

You have high chances of striking if you buy.

So, conclusion is: Yes, it’s easy to strike.

Tips on buying 4D

  1. If you think you’re going bankrupt buying 4D, you’re wrong.
  2. 1 week, there’s going to be 3 draws. Assuming there’s 52 weeks a year. 156 draws a year. Just buy $1 (1 set of numbers) each draw, and you’re going to only spend $156. By spending $156 (or less), you have chances of winning up to $2000.
  3. If you have a particular set of numbers you buy often, don’t stop buying. Have faith and buy every draw. You can go over to the counter telling the lady you want to buy your set of numbers for 3 draws. (Wed, Sat and Sunday)
  4. Dress in your lucky colour when you buy. It helps.

I don’t know what numbers to buy

I know. After reading my post, you’re certain you’ll strike it rich buying 4D. Yes, you will! There are in fact many numbers you can buy.

  • Your identity card (NRIC/IC) number. Example for Malaysians: 770103-01-9485. Singaporeans, S7434452X (Did you notice the last 4 digits?)
  • Your car plate. SGX8812Z. Again, another set of golden numbers!
  • Your address. Stay in HDB flats? #05-94? Or you stay on landed property? 76 Peter George Street. Buy 7676 or 0076 then.
  • Your mobile number. Is it 90015857? Another set of numbers that will strike!)
  • Your marriage cert number. Don’t you agree your wife is your god of fortune?

Your date of birth, your CPU’s serial number, last night’s dinner’s invoice/receipt number, your favourite book’s ISBN number, your car license id, your credit card numbers, etc. Any set of numbers will strike.

Start buying

Buying is your only chance of striking.

Remember, my advise is to buy for every draw. The key sentence: Any set of numbers will strike.

Finally

Play responsibly.
