I’ve gotten under the fire from Hareware-shit-zone forum FOUR times … th ey are really a bunch of insensitive bunch of pariahs that represent what twits and twats are. Fu*k them all.

But hey, it’s HardwareZone forums. There’re a couple of bad eggs there, some are too arrogant, some don’t think with their brains, some are too ignorant. If you can’t stand it, it’s better to avoid the Eat Drink Man Woman forum.

Guys, thats why I don’t visit HardwareZone Forums. Just passing by and I felt so uncomfortable!

These zoners are like that one, damn fu*ked up. Really man, I don’t know what else to say, but the word “fu*k”. It’s like they don’t deserve any other word.

Such rude and inconsiderate remarks. The girl’s already missing, annd the family’s having a hard time. And these fu*kers have to add to their misery!

And mind you, these zoners are mostly grown up, or even married. What a shame, just because they hide behind their forum nicknames. Shallow bastards.

i myself surf HWZ forum, mostly on marketplace,
sometimes during office hour i surf EDMW.
sometimes u can find good info there, but not most of the time.
i agree on the point tat most of them are grown up, some even married, hiding behind nicknames. some of them have childish/immature thinking, or maybe they act that way delibrately

I’m a frequent visitor of EDMW hardwarezone although I don’t post often. But what I can say is, never take any nonsense posts in EDMW seriously. Yes, those words may be insensitive, but you see rubbish posts like this everyday. It is a channel for ppl to vent their stress.

But!!! That is not to say there is nothing worthy coming out of EDMW. If EDMW were a person, you can say that it is the equvilent of a mad professor. Rubbish most of the time, but all-knowing. There are many “undesirable” news that will not see the light of day if not for EDMW. EDMW has one of the most up-to-date “news” happenings in Singapore, if not the most. And it is also extremely friendly and helpful, if equally eccentric as well. You just need to know how to filter the rubbish from the info.

It’s definitely not a place for ppl who just happen to “pop by”. It will be like how Nikola Tesla is deemed a mad scientist for ppl who don’t understand him and appreciate his contributions.

You have to take the comments there with a pinch of salt. If its too tasteless for you…better don’t stay there.

The people there are harmless…they don’t really have any bad intentions…

The simple fact is that if you don’t know how to filter out the rubbish that the EDMWers post, then you shouldn’t even be going there.

I think people should learn to be responsible for what comes out of their mouth - or in this case, from their hands.

Telling people that we should “take things with a pinch of salt”, or that we should not take things written in the forums seriously or that the HWZ is not a place for you is a completed denial of personal responsibility for the comments one makes in the forums.

You have brains, people. Use them.

There is a Current Affairs Lounge for you to discuss serious issues.

EDMW is never for discussion of anything serious, and half of the news there are made-up anyway…

Its ia wierd and contorted sub-forum, but having visited it for the past months, I do really feel that it is a good place for stress relief.

To OptimisticPessimist, EDMW is not all of the HWZ forums, maybe you should take a look at the other forums in HWZ for serious stuff…

Telling you to ‘take a pinch of salt’ for the comments posted in EDMW is not wrong…unless you are completely devoid of the ability to think, you should realise that you are talking in EDMW…place mostly for random spams, rants and should not be taken seriously…

sheese…if you cant stomach it, just leave it. If you surf there regularly, you should understand the type of comments bound to appear there. Surfing EDMW and getting offended by the threads there is just like eating Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans and getting disgusted by the ‘vomit’ flavor. You asked for it. Period.

As newly registred user i only wanted to say hi to everybody, even though i know that noone really gives a damn

My husband and I want to go on a awesome long vacation soon. We were looking for advice. Anyone have any great locations? A way to save a little money would be awesome too. Vacationing is pricey these days.

Billy always convinces me to buy and sell stocks at the perfect time. He must be a billionaire because he always asks me to give some of it up as he probably doesn’t need anymore. When there is a selloff in stocks, he tells me to follow because that’s probably when the market is at its bottom; while the opposite is true too because he always tells me to buy stocks when everyone is optimistic, signaling a top in the stock market.

A few years ago, 2003 to be exact, Billy told me “It’s time to sell your stocks! Look at your negative returns! Cash out your index funds because you should put your money somewhere else!” He is really good because the next few years turned out to be great for the stock market. A couple of days ago when everyone was selling stocks, he tries to convince me again to sell because we needed to join everyone else. He must’ve seen yesterday’s big move up coming.

Billy is truly my friend because he doesn’t want me to suffer the pain that I endure because my stocks are going down. So, when fear is at its maximum signaling a bottom, he convinces me that I should sell just to get me that temporary relief.

Today though, I decided to start ignoring Billy. Although I appreciate his friendship and advice for the past 20 some years, it is not making me rich. In fact, even though he’s a billionaire, I’m still working hard for a living. I have most of my life ahead of me, and I cannot keep listening to him anymore.

I need to think long term for my investments and ignore market fluctuations. I want to be wealthy, but not busy. I want to live happily, and not miserably. I need to stop being silly, and definitely not listen to Billy.
