GenderAnalyzer uses Artificial Intelligence to determine if a homepage is written by a man or woman. Although the service is still under beta stage, the results I got from it was pretty accurate.

This service uses a text classifier (API from uClassifier.com) that has been trained on 2000 blogs written by men and women.

Right Guess
We think http://felixker.com is written by a man. [No doubts]
We think http://ritzilystylish.com is written by a woman. [True]
We think http://blog.adolflam.com is written by a man. [Of course]
We think http://shanewong.com/blog/ is written by a man. [I'm certain Shane is a man. Right, Shane?]
We think http://shermianz9.blogspot.com is written by a woman. [True]
We think http://searching-4-u.blogspot.com/ is written by a woman. [Right!]
We think http://chau-chau-chau.blogspot.com/ is written by a man. [Yes.]

Not so right
We think http://ceedie.blogspot.com/ is written by a woman. [I'm sorry Ceed, but I expected this.]
We think http://trying-to-find-a-life.blogspot.com/ is written by a woman. [Bosheng is women?]

And, lastly pages that threw an exception.
http://drkmatter.blogspot.com/ [An error occurred | Sorry, we can only classify web pages written in english] [P.S Derrick, write in English please.]

My two pennies
The results I got wrong may be due to the kind of style a person wrote their blogs in. I wouldn’t say this service is unreliable, neither would I say that one can rely on it. Maybe just for fun.

Give it a try to have some fun. =)

After blogging about my previous web host being slow, I’ve subscribed for another web hosting package for this blog to run smoothly. For the past few days, I’ve been working on this blog to ensure that the web hosting migration will be smooth.

Migration is now done for felixker.com and from now till June next year, this blog will be hosted with FRRO.

Do comment and let me know if anything here isn’t working well. And also, don’t forget to tell me how you feel about this blog.

I had quite a hard time trying thinking of the categories I should have.

Online

  1. Started felixker.com as a blog writing about everything that caught my attention; topics include news, technology, love, media, money, tips & tricks, web links & many more. (Yea, alittle about SEX too.)
  2. Modified & made 2 WordPress themes – Widgets-enabled Three Columns Kubrick Theme and Curved 3-Columns WordPress Theme
  3. Got myself 2 Virtual private servers (VPS). One in Singapore, for SGBloggers & Modish Media and another in New York (Named after a gorgeous lady I met – heart Melissa) for Web & DNS Hosting.
  4. Decided that I should provide WordPress Blog Hosting (So gossipy). Yet to do any marketing for that site yet.
  5. Sponsored blogs – Edwin’s Blog, Anna’s Blog (ritzily Stylish)
  6. (Almost) Daily Twittering became my habit – twitter.com/felixker
  7. Switched to use felix[@]ker[dot]sg as my main contact email and MSN. Old emails are still checked, but just less often.
  8. Formally using Internet Explorer 7 to read news/blog/web feeds, recently I upgraded to using Google Reader. (May consider trying Bloglines next year!)
  9. Joined Ping.SG and started pinging my blog for attention!

Can’t think of anything else. Do you know something I did in 2007 that’s worth mentioning? What have you done in 2007 that u think is worth sharing?

According to Dane Carlson‘s “How much is your blog worth?“, this blog is worth $128,715.12 as of 10th December 2007! My blog has grown alot, from around $15 thousand back in March!

If you’ve noticed the entries on my blog getting lesser each month. in August, I wrote 90 entries, September there was 53 and in October, the number of posts dropped to 19. That’s not even one a day. It’s all because work started for me and I’ve been busy since then.

The price

Stop beating about the bush. I’m selling this blog for…

USD $25, 000

Hey, so expensive?

Not at all. Dane Carlson says my blog is worth around $128, 000 and $25, 000 is not even 20% of the estimated price!

How much do you earn per month?

Hundreds. Thousands ? Possible.

How much traffic do you get a day?

Check it out yourself.

Can I buy your blog for $200?

Try harder.

Are you serious about selling?

Not unless you offer me $25k.

Then why are you posting?

For attention? Because I’m bored.

Curved 3-Columns Preview

Curved 3-Columns is modified based on Curved WordPress Theme designed by Aditi Tuteja from TextNData. This theme have a very unusual look and it is currently being used on our blog. It is named “Curved” because of the nice rounded corner search box in header. This 3-Columns theme supports widgets and have a nice striped header along with tabbed navigation.

Curved (three columns) is very similar to what I am using right now.

Why 3-Columns?

There’s an increasing number of web logs having 2 sidebars (3 columns) for more content. You can have :

  • Advertisements
  • Widgets (MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, whos.amung.us, alexa, technorati, etc)
  • Top Commentors
  • Archives
  • Frequent Tags
  • Recent Comments
  • Categories
  • Twitter
  • Popular Articles/Top Reads
  • Recent Entries
  • and so much more…

And that’s why I’m using a 3-columns design.
