I’ve been using SQL Server 2008 for a month or two, and until recently, I got really irritated as I was unable to re-design some tables I found wasn’t performing the way I want it to. (I’m still trying to learn database designing to improve efficiency!) The solution is below.

Saving changes is not permitted. The changed you have made require the following tables to be dropped and re-created. You have either made changes to a table that can’t be re-created or enabled the option Prevent saving changes that require the table to be re-created.

Solution:
Tools -> Options -> Untick “Prevent saving changes that require table re-creation” and you will be able to save changes!

I learnt one thing about myself. I’m often time too lazy to read the whole paragraph of the error message. The part I highlighted in bold actually taught me how to fix the problem, but I ignored it. I only found out when I was typing the whole error message out. I must change this aspect of myself, else I’m going to waste time googling for solutions.

Regardless of whether you’re single, attached or married, the following tips can be applied easily. But let me mention this first: I’m not any love guru. Neither do I have many years of experience in this field.

This guide is actually written in a guy’s perspective, but it’s hard to say. However, ladies, some tips might just be suitable for application on your man.

In the past, I’ve written other helpful entries such as 5 ways to show you love her and The Guide To Making Relationships Last.

1. Tell her you love her. (Same first tip as mentioned on 5 Ways to show that you love her)
   This is an important point. Note that women need lots of security (men too!). It’s actually fine to drop her a message via SMS telling her how much you love her. You both don’t have to be quarreling in-order to be doing this. Doing this may sound stupid but it can be heart warming when your partner sees the message.
2. Be flexible.
   You’ve got a chick that loves Japanese food while you prefer Thai food? Instead of telling her that you want Thai for dinner today, why not suggest something like: “We’re shall have your favourite cuisine today. Next week we’ll have Thai food. Is it alright?” After all, Japanese food can be very tasty. (Not always will we face such scenarios, but this is a very simple example)
3. Surprise her.
   Women actually love surprises. Oh yes, surprises doesn’t cost much. An example would be make sure she’s hungry and got nothing for dinner. You can just make a call and order McDonald’s delivery to her place and pay for the meal with your credit card. A McValue meal will only cost you $10 at most.
4. Apologize.
   You know it’s your fault. Say sorry and most importantly make sure your partner accepts your apology. Move on after that. It is not at all hard to say sorry when you’re in the wrong. Many men just won’t apologize thinking that they’ll lose face doing so. Time to wake up.
5. Trust.
   One of the most important things in a relationship. If you’re still courting a girl and you cannot trust her, don’t go on with her. If you’re in a relationship and you cannot trust her, just break up; don’t waste time. If you’re married and you find that you cannot trust her, do something about it; I don’t mean divorce.
6. Communicate well.
   Communication is very important in a relationship. The sender is as important as the recipient. Make sure what gets through has the same meaning as what you sent. Not always will the message be interpreted the right way. Remember.
   And, when you don’t tell her what you want, you may not get it. Not always will she be able to read your sophisticated mind.
7. Appreciate and respect each other.
   Appreciate what she’s done for you. Thank her when she’s awake at 7am to make you breakfast. Not many girls do so. As for respecting each other, your ideas are worth as much as her ideas. Respect her ideas. There are many other ways as to how you can show respect.
8. Patience.
   We know you prefer some things the other way. It may take a few months for your message to get through. Be patient.
9. Listen.
   Be a good listener. Do I still have to elaborate much on this?
10. Remember the dates. (I don’t mean going out dating)
    Anniversaries and birthdays are important. But it’s alright. Why not try miss it once? You’ll just feel the wrath. Don’t forget to note down her family’s birthdays too; they’re as important.

There’s a hell load of people in this Internet community asking why is their torrent file downloading at such a slow speed despite having a 6mbps Internet. I’m writing this “How-To” entry to help you speed up your torrent downloads.

Before we actually start with configuring to speed up, there are several things you have to know.

1. Internet speed. Don’t be confused by the speed you are connected from your LAN (Ethernet) port to your modem/router. That is NOT your Internet speed. Look at the package you subscribed with your Internet Service Provider (ISPs). You should be able to know the speed. Example will be: 5mbps download / 512kbps upload. (Note the ‘mbps’/'kbps’ – the ‘b’ in small letters actually means bits and not bytes.)
2. Router? Are you using a router? If you are, you probably have to know the model of your router and forward the port correctly. [We'll be covering this at a later part]
3. Firewall. Remember to allow the port that you’re going to set later on.
4. Your favourite bittorrent client. There are so many programs released in the market. But which is your favourite? Choose your favourite and let’s go! (Note that I’m only showing screenshots for BitComet & uTorrent.)
5. Seeds. The number of seeds that’s actually seeding the torrent; the more the merrier. If there are many torrents for a particular download you’re interested in, be sure you get the right one. [Refer to screenshot]
   
6. I think that’s all you need to know to start speeding up. Fire your favourite torrent client and let’s go!
