FOUR people were hauled to court on Tuesday on charges of being involved in a fraudulent investment scheme in connection with the controversial multi-level marketing firm Sunshine Empire.

Phang Wah, 49, better known as James Phang, his wife, Neo Kuon Huay, 46, Jackie Hoo Choon Cheat, 29, and Yong Wai Hong, 27, face between six and 20 charges each.

As I wrote in Sunshine Empire: Whats next (more than 1 year ago!), the way Sunshine Empire operate isn’t like an investment company. On the blog post itself, the discussions were very serious, almost every of it were discussing about James Phang and his partners, including Sam Mok, which I haven’t read about in the news yet.

If you are a member or investor of Sunshine Empire

Leave them right now, I would suggest. No point staying there and see your money disappear (or has your funds already disappeared?).  Make a police report about the scam, if you haven’t got any money you should.

James Phang was caught with porn!

“Phang is also accused of having obscene and uncensored films at his Westwood Avenue home on Nov 13, 2007.”

Sunshine Empire started business

I’ll limit my writings here since I can get sued anytime. and Wish them luck.

If you have any news, please don’t hesitate to update us!

How many pieces of bills do you pay every month? A normal family man or person living alone would need to pay 2-3 bills monthly. It can be hard to remember, and it happened to me. Sigh.

What?

Max Alliance sent me a letter today, over at my former rented place address threatening to take legal actions if I don’t pay my bills for my previous Broadband Internet Service (MaxOnline) with Starhub by 29th June 2008. (Woo, just 2 more days.)

I suddenly recalled that I still have part of my previous bill unsettled as I always have the practice to deposit $100-150 into Starhub/Singtel’s account and slowly debit it. That would save lots of trouble.

Settled my bills online – only $49.22. So I guess they won’t give me any trouble.

How to remember to pay bills?

  1. Try using Sandy, I am Sandy online secretary service that reminds you to do anything virtually. Sandy don’t sleep!
  2. Have your mobile’s calendar to remind you the monthly billing date of your bills and you’ll remember to settle them.

What else? Let me know

Lesson learnt

Once you receive your bills, have them paid the next day or within a couple of days. Dragging it will only cause forgetfulness. Unless you’re broke?

Good bye 2007 and thanks for all you’ve given me. Let’s welcome 2008 that is here with a very good start.

I don’t know what to target for 2008. Studies? Money?

In love with 2008. =)

I had quite a hard time trying thinking of the categories I should have.

Online

  1. Started felixker.com as a blog writing about everything that caught my attention; topics include news, technology, love, media, money, tips & tricks, web links & many more. (Yea, alittle about SEX too.)
  2. Modified & made 2 WordPress themes – Widgets-enabled Three Columns Kubrick Theme and Curved 3-Columns WordPress Theme
  3. Got myself 2 Virtual private servers (VPS). One in Singapore, for SGBloggers & Modish Media and another in New York (Named after a gorgeous lady I met – heart Melissa) for Web & DNS Hosting.
  4. Decided that I should provide WordPress Blog Hosting (So gossipy). Yet to do any marketing for that site yet.
  5. Sponsored blogs – Edwin’s Blog, Anna’s Blog (ritzily Stylish)
  6. (Almost) Daily Twittering became my habit – twitter.com/felixker
  7. Switched to use felix[@]ker[dot]sg as my main contact email and MSN. Old emails are still checked, but just less often.
  8. Formally using Internet Explorer 7 to read news/blog/web feeds, recently I upgraded to using Google Reader. (May consider trying Bloglines next year!)
  9. Joined Ping.SG and started pinging my blog for attention!

Can’t think of anything else. Do you know something I did in 2007 that’s worth mentioning? What have you done in 2007 that u think is worth sharing?

Advertlets Logo

I’m sick of emailing Advertlets (or adding a support ticket) and waiting more than a week for a reply. This is not the way to run business, Josh.

Where is my cheque?

2 months ago or to be exact, on 11th September 2007 (Remember the September 11 bombing?), I checked out an amount of money. Hey, that was my first checkout with Advertlets and I haven’t got it yet. It’s been more than 70 days. Seriously, I don’t think Advertlets has that many clients that checkout monthly that my cheque cannot be processed in time. Compare with Google’s Adsense? Does that explain why Adsense is doing so well?

Server downtime/Lag!

I noticed that almost everyday Advertlets’ server is lagging and causing my page to load slowly. Worse of all, when the server is down, my ads don’t get loaded and my page remains dead. Fine. I’ll just accept this quietly.

I saw a bug!

Is that a bug? Why did today appear twice? (Figured censored as respect to Advertlets)

Dear Advertlets

Please do something about this. I’m sure there are others who will give you the support to improve!

Have you encountered any problems with Advertlets that you’ll like to share with me? Bug for you too? Yet to receive your cash-out?

P.S I’m still using and supporting Advertlets!
